Our son Oscar has been enjoying Our Children’s Place since he was six month old when, perched on the hip of his exhausted working mother who could just barely drag herself in the door, he first discovered the wonderful world of Teacher Janet.  Now nearly four years old, Oscar attends Our Children’s Academy three days a week and on the two off days he comes to play during free play time.  He has made his best friends there, learned many of his most important lessons there, and made many many many wonderful memories of fun times in a loving environment there.  His mother (yours truly) is still an exhausted working mom.  But, relieving much of that tiredness is: the total lack of anxiety over the quality, cost, or availability of my son’s childcare; the security of knowing my son is happy, healthy, and safe in his school; and the relief of seeing my son learn to respect and care for others from a gentle teacher.  The best part, though, is the joy of watching Oscar having the time of his life every time he walks through the door to Our Children’s Place, into the arms of Teacher Janet -- the best hug in town.  Thank you, Janet – for EVERYTHING.

 Teacher Janet!!
My experience with this remarkable woman paved the way for not only my daughter to be a strong,confident,caring & sharing person, but for me as well. Teacher Janet not only teaches your child the ABC's, she goes beyond that. There is sign language, 1st pre-school to teach Spanish, arts & crafts, field trips, games to teach shapes & sizes along with math-she has it all just to mention these few. She shares her knowledge in how to address situations we as parents would be normally pulling our hair out in a way that not only takes care of it, but you both come away still feeling good about yourself. I know that my Daughter after 2 years of Mommy & me, then 3 years of pre-school was ready to take on the next chapter of her education with every tool that prepared her!!! Teacher Janet not only is the children's Teacher, but a caring Friend as well & you can see her light up with every child that walk's thru her door when she greets them with her beautiful smile & hug & makes them feel special. My daughter had some difficult times due to loss of her NA NA, then I ended up with a major medical journey-Teacher Janet was there to help her thru all that & went above & beyond to make sure the entire family was doing fine.....I have to share, Teacher Janet had the class make a get well poster for me & then called during my stay at the hospital with my daughter getting to speak to me as well as her class to ease the situation. There are so many stories that this woman has done with children during hard times & good-she put's herself heart & soul into the kids. I feel honored & proud that my daughter got to have Teacher Janet to get her ready for the next chapter of her life & still using all the tools of learning she learned from one awesome Teacher!!! We love Teacher Janet!!
